When using Pipedrive's Email Sync, or Smart Email BCC, your received emails will automatically be linked with the contact person in Pipedrive associated with that email address.
However, in some scenarios, your emails will not link to the deal linked to that contact person automatically.
- If the contact has more than one open deal, Pipedrive cannot know which deal that email is referencing, and you will be prompted in the Mail tab to choose the appropriate deal. If that contact person has only one deal open, then that email will automatically be associated with that one open deal.
- If the email has more than two recipients and neither has an open deal, then the email will not link automatically to the deal. However, if one of the recipients already has an open deal, it will automatically link to that deal.
If you notice that your emails are not linking to your deals, and the cause is not one of the two above, please contact our support team for further assistance.
