Pipedrive integration: Asana
Sometimes, you may need to forward data from your team to another team who might be using a different tool. As much as we would love it if everyone used Pipedrive for everything in work and life in general, we understand it might not be the best tool for some jobs – if you need to hammer in a nail, sometimes you just need a hammer!
For when another tool is better suited to another part of your team, it may require a separate process or tool in order to get them to work together, such as Zapier.
However, if the tool being used by another team is Asana, you are in luck with Pipedrive's integration.
Setting up the integration
To enable the integration, go to the Asana page in our Marketplace and follow the instructions to install the app.
Once your Asana account is connected, you will need to create a rule. This rule will act as a trigger to get your information from Pipedrive into Asana. The available triggers for this rule are:
- Deal is WON
- Deal is LOST
- Deal is moved to a specific stage
- Lead is created
Once you have set up what event you want to trigger the transfer of information from Pipedrive to Asana, you will need to choose which data is transferred into the created Asana task.
Currently, the information that can be transferred is:
- Deal - Title
- Deal - Value
- Person details
- Organization details
- Pinned notes
Every option – except for Deal - Title – can be toggled off if you do not wish for that information to be transferred into Asana. As a title is required for a deal, that information cannot be turned off.
Once these changes are saved, every deal that meets your rule criteria will create a task within Asana with the specified information, so your teams can follow up on your deals effectively.
Workflow automations
Take this integration to the next level and get even more options to manage your projects by setting up workflow automations.
Pipedrive offers four pre-made workflow automation templates to be used with Asana:
- Every time a deal is WON, create a project in Asana.
- Every time a deal is LOST, create a project in Asana.
- Every time a deal is moved to a specific stage, create a task in Asana.
- Every time you add a new lead, create a task in Asana.
Additionally, the possible custom combinations are:
- Every time a deal is moved to a stage, create a new Asana task.
- Every time a deal is moved to a stage, create a new Asana project.
- Every time a lead is added, create a new Asana task.
- Every time a lead is added, create a new Asana project.
For workflow automations, the information that can be transferred is:
- Deal - Title
- Deal - Value
- Person details
- Organization details
- Pinned notes
