Dealing with a high volume of leads that aren’t converting into sales opportunities can be a significant challenge. An inefficient prospecting workflow and a low conversion rate from leads to opportunities often hinder progress.

Pulse by Pipedrive addresses this issue by enabling sales teams, such as SDRs (Sales Development Representatives), BDRs (Business Development Representatives), and sales reps, to efficiently scan, identify and nurture leads.

It transforms low-engagement leads into high-engagement ones, driving deeper, more qualified interactions.

AI engagement score

Pipedrive AI analyzes registered data to identify patterns. By evaluating deals with high engagement records, Pipedrive suggests deals with a higher likelihood of success, enabling you to focus on them and maintain sales momentum.

The AI Engagement Score feature helps you prioritize opportunities based on their similarity to previously won or lost deals.

Pulse feed

The Pulse feed helps you prioritize the right activities with the most relevant contacts or deals. It also identifies potential customers to reach out to based on recent interactions.

Before using Pulse, select the pipeline and stages you want to connect.

Note: You can choose only one pipeline, but you may select multiple stages within it.

Pulse will then populate feeds with actions from deals in these chosen stages.

This feed consists of two sections.

Actions feed

Once a pipeline and stages are selected, the Actions feed populates with relevant items to help you manage deal activities effectively:

  • Linked Activities: Displays all activities linked to deals in the selected pipeline and stages, regardless of how they were created, as long as they’re assigned to the user
  • Overdue Activities: Groups overdue activities at the top of the feed, showing a counter to highlight pending items
  • Email Follow-up: Flags recent email replies from prospects linked to open deals, allowing users to take action directly from the feed
  • Deals Without Planned Activities: Highlights open deals with no planned activities, grouped at the top of the feed
  • Deals Without Follow-up Actions: Identifies deals with at least one completed activity but no future actions scheduled

You can filter actions by Engagement Score, mark activities as complete directly in the feed, and take further actions on deals using the contextual side panel without leaving Pulse.

Opportunities feed

While the Actions feed focuses on follow-up tasks, the Opportunities feed highlights prospects ready for engagement based on their recent interactions.

Here’s what appears in the Opportunities feed:

  • Prospect Events: Prospect opened or clicked on an email
  • Follow-up on Unresponsive Prospects: For open deals in selected stages, Pulse auto-generates a follow-up reminder if a prospect hasn’t responded to an email within five days.

You can also filter these opportunities by Engagement Score to prioritize interactions effectively.

Note: To edit the stage selection after setup, click the gear icon within the Pulse feed.

AI deal summary

The AI deal summary is an auto-generated overview created by OpenAI, providing a concise snapshot of all notes, emails, activities, and other information linked to a specific deal. It helps users quickly review past interactions and updates related to the deal.

To generate the summary, simply click the “Summarize” button.

The summary will be created in a few seconds, depending on the amount of data being processed.

If new information, such as emails or notes, is added, a new summary can be generated by clicking the “Update” button.

Note: The summary isn’t automatically updated, you must manually regenerate it.

To delete a summary, click the trash can icon on the right side of the summary card.

This action removes the summary, but the “Summarize” button remains available, allowing you to generate a new summary when needed.
