Note: This feature is available on Power and higher plans. Currently, you can only calculate scores for deals.

The Scores feature reflects the likelihood of success on a scale of 0–100.

In addition to predicting your chances of successful outcomes, Scores also enables you to compare these outcomes fairly, even when the underlying criteria differ.

How a score is calculated

To calculate scores, Pipedrive takes into account the following factors:

  • The match with your custom criteria
  • Fixed point values assigned to each criteria group

Below, you can see the impact of each group on the calculation of a score:

Group

Point value

Impact

Highly positive

+25 points

Significant increase

Slightly positive

+10 points

Minor increase

Negative

-10 points

Decrease

In each group, you can define the criteria that need to match the target item.

Note: While you don’t need to establish criteria for all three groups, you can currently set up to 10 criteria in total.

Once a match is found between the target item and your defined criteria, point values are assigned based on the group to which the criteria belong.

You can check the assigned point values in the preview section to better understand which criteria were met.

As an outcome of the scoring calculation, you’ll see the following values

  • Total point value, reflecting the sum of point values
  • Normalized value, which is a balanced reflection of all possible criteria

Understanding normalized values

To ensure consistency in evaluating the target item, the scores are normalized to a more recognizable, 0–100 scale.

  • 0 = very poor outcome, occurs when only negative criteria are met
  • 100 = excellent outcome, occurs when all positive criteria without any negative criteria are met
  • Any value between 0 and 100 = a combination of both positive and negative criteria is met
