Note: This article explains more about organizing your data with filtering. For information about some common uses for filters, click here.

Filtering information can help you narrow down to the specific data you need. This allows you to plan your next steps accordingly, become more knowledgeable about your conversion rate and increase your efficiency.

With that in mind, we added quick filter capabilities to the deal list view to help you segment your data easily and get faster access to the information you need.

Note: The quick filter is currently available only on the deal list view.

Accessing the quick filters

To use quick filters, go to the deals list view by clicking the list view icon. The quick filter options selected appear between the view selection toolbar and the data table you want to filter.

If no filter criteria are currently selected, you‘ll see the “Add condition” button.

Adding filter conditions

To start filtering your data, click the “Add condition” button and select the fields you want to filter by.

After adding one or more conditions, the full button is reduced to the filter button (the upside-down triangle), which you can also click to add more filters.

Add condition and search

Once the list opens, you can type to search for a specific field or select it from the list, where you‘ll find most of the fields are available.

After choosing a field, you‘ll need to select or type its value. Depending on the field type, you may have a list of options or an input field to type the value into.

Adding a value

In the above example, the filter will return deals with titles that contain specific text.

You can also change the operator, which is set by default to “is” or “is any of.” In the example, it’s “contains, but it could also be “is more than” (in case of a number), “is before” (for a date), etc.

The operators vary according to the field type (text, number, date, etc.)

Conditions set

In the example above, the conditions selected would list all open deals worth exactly $1,000.

Note: You can currently choose up to ten filter conditions simultaneously.

Editing filter conditions

To edit a filter condition, click it and update its value.

Edit conditions

Here, we changed the operator to see open deals whose value is greater than $1,000 instead of exactly $1,000.

Removing filter conditions

To remove a specific condition, simply click the “X” to the right of the one you wish to remove.

Delete condition

Filtering by column

You can also hover your pointer over any column and click on the upside-down triangle to choose a condition specific to that column and refine your results further.

Sharing quick filtered data

You can share the URL in your web browser with a colleague at any time, so they’ll see the same data (provided they have the same permissions and visibility rules). You can also bookmark the URLs for easy access later.
