<p>For many companies, there are multiple processes used for sales completion, which is why you can create multiple pipelines for your <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/deals-what-they-are-and-how-to-add-them" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">deals</a>. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Using multiple pipelines can be quite useful in certain situations. For instance:</p>

<li>You may be a company that offers different kinds of <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/products" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">products</a> that may need their own proprietary stages during the closure of a deal.</li>
<li>You may have both a product as well as a service that you sell in your company. The service could easily have a longer pipeline.</li>
<li>You can have <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/data-fields-in-pipedrive#pipeline-specific-custom-fields" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pipeline-specific custom fields</a>, to keep your processes and information well categorized.</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify">It's not suggested for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Categorizing your deals by location or industry type (or anything else) if the stages are the same. We suggest using <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en/articles/207228075-Custom-fields" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">custom fields</a> instead.</li>
<li>Separating deals by a salesperson. That is already done automatically by Pipedrive through the <strong>owner</strong> field.</li><li>To track the delivery of sold items after they’re won. Instead, you can use the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/projects-by-pipedrive" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Projects feature</a>.</li></ul>
<p style="text-align: justify"> In this way, you will have a chance to see the entire pipeline in one view, but you can also create filters to see any segment of the pipeline that you wish.</p>
<div style="text-align: justify" class="support-note success primary"> <strong>Note: </strong>It’s not possible to get a combined view of all pipelines, even if the stage names are the same. Within the Pipedrive database, those pipelines and stages are still separated.</div>

When should I use multiple pipelines?

<p style="text-align: justify">Probability represents whether a deal will be <strong>WON</strong> by that deal’s expected close date. Pipedrive automatically calculates the deal’s value based on the provided probability, making your sales volume predictions easier.<br></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Within Pipedrive, there are two forms of probability: <strong>stage probability</strong> and <strong>deal probability</strong>.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify"><a name="total-and-weighted-value"></a>Total and weighted value</h2>
<div style="text-align: justify" class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note: </strong>In a weighted sales pipeline, opportunities with a higher likelihood of being <strong>WON</strong> are given more weight in <a href="https://www.pipedrive.com/en/features/sales-forecasting">sales forecasting</a>. </div>
<p style="text-align: justify">The <strong>total value </strong>displayed in your stage is the total value of deals in that stage since the probability is set at 100% by default. However, if you set a different probability for that stage, your <strong>weighted total value </strong>takes the probability of the deals being won into account.<br></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Here you can see the <strong>“Lead In”</strong> stage’s <strong>total value</strong> is $4,245.74, but as the probability in that stage is 50%, the <strong>weighted value</strong> for deals in that stage is $2,122.87.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Programming probability for each stage in your pipeline gives you an understanding of your company’s income so you can budget effectively. <br><br>By default, the probability per stage is set to 100%, so you can always see the exact value programmed in each deal. This also allows the summary to provide the total deal value for each stage.</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify">To see these deals, select <strong>Deal &gt; Owner &gt; is restricted from pipeline</strong>.</p>
