The list view is one way data is displayed in Pipedrive. It uses a clear, linear view to make all of your information easily visible.

Hovercards in the list view

If a user is leaving their position but still has open deals and linked items, it's a good idea to assign those items to another user. You can do this in <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/bulk-editing-and-filtering" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">bulk</a> to save time using the following method.
To begin, go to the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/list-view" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">list view</a> and click the "Filter" button. Then, go to "Owners" and select the user whose items you wish to reassign.

To select all list items, click the checkbox in the upper left. 
When the bulk edit panel appears, find and select the "Owner" option, and select "Edit current value" in the dropdown menu.

In the dropdown list, choose the user that you wish to now own these deals and click "Edit". Then, review the items that are being reassigned and, if everything looks good, confirm the changes.
<div style="text-align: justify" class="support-note success primary">Note: Reassigning the ownership of deals doesn't apply to people or organizations linked to those deals. In order to reassign the ownership of people or organization contacts, the same steps would need to be completed in the contacts – people and contacts – organizations tabs as well.</div>

How can I reassign items owned by one user to another user?

<div class="support-note success primary">Note: This function is not available for the projects list view or leads inbox. </div>
In the list view, you can sort data by clicking on one column header, or up to three column headers at once. To sort by multiple columns in Pipedrive:

<li>Go to the list view of your deals or contacts</li>
<li>Click on the column header of the first item you wish to sort</li>
<li>Move your mouse cursor to the second column header, hold down the SHIFT key and click the column header</li>
<li>Repeat as needed and up to a maximum of three sorted columns 
</li>

Sorting by multiple columns in list view

Bulk deleting items is possible from the list view by using the checkboxes – found on the left side of the table – to select the items you wish to delete.
After selecting the items, you will then see a trash icon appear above the list.<figure style="margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;text-align:center;"><img src="https://kb-cms.pipedriveassets.com/bulk%20delete%201.jpg" alt=""></figure>

Clicking the trash icon will then delete all of the selected items.
You can also select and delete all of your listed items by clicking the box in the top left corner, then selecting the trash can icon:

Please note that, by default, regular users do not have the ability to delete deals in Pipedrive. Admin users can provide the permission to allow users to delete deals by going to Settings &gt; Manage Users &gt; <a href="/settings/permissions">Permission sets</a> and enabling the "Delete deals" options for the desired permission set.
<div class="support-note success primary">Note: Deleted items can be reopened up to 30 days after deletion. After 30 days the items are permanently deleted and cannot be accessed or reopened.</div>

Bulk deleting items in the list view

To choose which columns are visible in the list view table, click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the list view table and – using the checkboxes shown – select which columns you would like to be shown.

 When finished, click "Save" to update your list view.

How can I add or remove columns in the list view?

In the list view of Pipedrive, you can edit a field by hovering your mouse over the field in question and clicking on the pencil icon that appears.

 Once the pencil icon is clicked, you will be able to provide new information to go into that field.

How can I edit a field in the list view?

The <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/list-view" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">list view</a> is a helpful tool for seeing and understanding the data in your account, and you can customize it in a few ways.

You can change where a column is located by holding your cursor down and dragging it to your preferred spot.

If you believe you should be able to view items owned by one of the other users in your Pipedrive account but cannot see that information – we suggest checking the displayed filter in the list view to verify that it should be showing that user's owned items. However, be aware that users may have their visibility restricted in the Pipedrive account based on the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en/articles/207341695-Users-Permissions-Controlling-visibility" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">vi</a><a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en/articles/360000309498-Visibility-Groups" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">sibility groups</a> in Pipedrive, dictated by the admin user of the account. If you have any questions regarding those visibility permissions, we suggest inquiring with the admin user of your Pipedrive account.

Why can't I see my colleagues' items in the list view?

It can be helpful for other users in your account to see things exactly as you do. 
That’s why there’s a process to share even the configuration of your list view columns so other users can see them too.

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Saving your list view columns</h2>
To save the configuration of your list view columns, start by opening the filter dropdown in your list view and selecting a filter.

After you’ve selected your filter, check the box for “Save selected columns with the filter” then click “Save.”

Now, when you or another user opens that filter, the list view columns you had when it was saved will be opened as well.

To share a filter with the rest of your account’s users, change the filter’s visibility to “Shared.”

If a filter is set to shared and “Save selected columns with the filter” is checked, other users can open your filter and the list view columns it was saved with.

The primary purpose of system IDs is organization. Having a number that corresponds to each piece of data makes it easier to organize and find it. 
However, there are other ways to use IDs.
Updating data in bulk
If you want to update a lot of data all at once, you can do so using system IDs. 
We have an <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/updating-pipedrive-data-with-a-spreadsheet" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">article</a> that explains the process in detail, but basically: 
<ul><li>include the ID field when you export a spreadsheet</li><li>make the desired changes to the spreadsheet</li><li>reimport that spreadsheet </li></ul>
The existing data in your account corresponding to the exported IDs will be updated. 
Integration functions
Some third-party apps like <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/zapier-what-it-is-and-how-to-use-it" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zapier</a> have options to update specific items automatically, and using system IDs is an effective way to identify which items you want to change. 
This can be especially useful if, for example, you have multiple items with the same or similar names.
