<h2 style="text-align: justify">Chart types<a name="chart-types"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">When editing a report, you can change the chart type by clicking the different chart icons on the top left of the report area. There are five different chart types available in Insights: </p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Pie charts include <strong>measure-by</strong> and <strong>segment-by</strong> fields, but unlike column and bar charts, they don’t feature a <strong>view-by</strong> field. </p>

<p><strong>Insights viewers</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">The quick filters are still available and specific to the user, meaning you can apply quick filters even when you‘re not the owner.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">As a viewer of a report, users <strong>can‘t</strong>:</p>
<ul><li>Add reports to the shared dashboard</li><li>Remove reports from the dashboard</li><li>Add shared reports to other dashboards</li><li>Share the dashboards and reports with other users</li></ul>

Creating shareable links is only available by default to admin users. To allow non-admin users to create links, go to Settings &gt; Manage users &gt; <a href="https://app.pipedrive.com/settings/permissions" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Permission sets</strong></a>, and enable the <strong>“Share Insights dashboards as public links” permission</strong>.</div>
<p style="text-align: justify">To create a shareable link for your Insights dashboard, select a dashboard, then click <strong>Share &gt; Share as public link &gt; Get link</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">If you want to share the same dashboard with multiple different viewers, you can create multiple links by clicking on <strong>“Add new link”</strong> under the existing links.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">To reassign a dashboard or report to a different user in your account, click on <strong>“...” &gt; Share with users &gt; dropdown menu (next to the desired user) &gt; Transfer ownership.</strong></p>

<h2>Update intervals<a name="update-intervals"></a></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify" class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note:</strong> When a user changes the update intervals for a dashboard, those changes are applied to every dashboard link created by that user.</div>
<p style="text-align: justify">To change the update intervals for a shared dashboard, two conditions must be met: </p>

The feature works by adding tracking pixels to emails with tracking enabled, which registers when recipients open emails.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">However, it’s important to remember that your customers may have email providers that prevent the tracking of email opens and link clicks. In 2021, both <strong>Apple Mail</strong> and <strong>Gmail </strong>implemented new mail privacy policies<strong> </strong>to protect their consumers.<br></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">In these cases, <strong>Pipedrive can‘t provide any tracking information for those emails</strong> and the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/insights-reports-emails-performance" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">emails performance reports</a> won’t reflect this data.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Pixel-based email tracking is only accurate if your customers’ email providers allow it, so while email tracking is helpful, there‘s no way to know if customers are opening your emails in the first place.</p>
<p>Here are a few tips to make sure you’re getting the best data possible:</p>
<ul><li>Link tracking is not affected by policies or caching, making it one of the most reliable engagement metrics</li><li>Focus on reliable and actionable data like deliverability, bounces, unsubscribes and spam reports.</li><li>Spam reports and unsubscribe requests can help you identify content irrelevant to your customers or diagnose weaknesses in your campaigns. <h2>Gmail image caching<a name="gmail-image-caching"></a></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify" class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note: </strong>Google image caching only applies to recipients who access Gmail through their browser or a Gmail mobile app, like what you’d find on your Android or iPhone device.<br></div>
<p style="text-align: justify">For security reasons, instead of loading images from an external host server each time someone opens an email, Gmail stores these images locally on its own proxy servers.</p>

<p>Your emails performance report has three viewable sections: the <strong>filters</strong>, <strong>chart </strong>and <strong>table view. </strong></p>

<p>At the top of your report, you can see your existing data filters and add new ones using <strong>”+“</strong> in the bottom left corner. </p>

<p> Customizing your <strong>emails performance report</strong> gives you a multitude of options for visualizing your report’s data. </p>
<p>There are three metrics you can use to alter the appearance and data in your charts: <strong>view by, measure by </strong>and <strong>segment by. </strong></p>

<p>The<strong> view by </strong>section dictates how your columns are separated in the chart. For example, this chart is divided into four <strong>sent/received time </strong>columns, one for each <strong>quarter</strong> in the year 2023. </p>

<p>The <strong>measure by</strong> section represents the data being counted vertically in each column. There are two available fields you can use for this: </p>

<p>You can use the <strong>reply tracking</strong> fields to see a variety of metrics like if or when emails were opened and replied to.</p>

<p>This report shows the<strong> leads-to-deals conversion rate </strong>for various groups (e.g., lead source, creator, time periods, etc.)</p>
<p><strong>Column chart</strong></p>
<p>The columns in this report display the conversion percentage based on the <strong>view by </strong>field.</p>
<p>So in the picture below:</p>
<ul><li>The Y-axis shows percentages representing how many of your <strong>total</strong> leads are in that column.</li><li>The X-axis divides the converted leads by their <strong>lead source</strong> (i.e. Import, Prospector, etc.)</li></ul>

<p style="text-align: justify">By hovering your cursor over a column, you can see the actual number of leads in the column and the conversion rate compared to other sources. </p>

<p>To create a product revenue report, go to <a href="https://app.pipedrive.com/progress/insights"><strong>Insights</strong></a> and click <strong>“+ Add item“ &gt;</strong> <strong>Report &gt;</strong> <strong>Revenue forecast &gt; Product revenue forecast</strong>.<br> </p>

<div class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note: </strong>The default <strong>view by</strong> field is <strong>Billing date. </strong></div>
<p dir="ltr">The columns in the report reflect the breakdown of the value of your products according to what you’ve selected to view on the <strong>X-axis.</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">By hovering over a column in the graph, you’ll see the total value of the products attached to your deals.<br></p>

<p dir="ltr">At the bottom of the page, you also have a table containing a breakdown of the revenue displayed in the report.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Each column in the table represents the revenue data attached to a deal. If your deal consists of two or more products, all these products will be represented in the table on each row.<br></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">The data you see in your report can be adjusted using two different methods. </p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify">Filters<br></h3>
<p dir="ltr">The first section of the report provides filter options to refine the data set. Filters are available for deal, contact person and organization fields, allowing for targeted data analysis.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Under deal entities you can filter different data, such as deal billing date or deal revenue type. Learn how to control which Insights data your users can see in Pipedrive.

<div class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note:</strong> Visibility groups and permission sets are only available to users with account settings access. Reports can be deleted only by their creator.</div>
<p style="text-align: justify"><a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/insights-feature" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Insights</a> is a great tool for Pipedrive companies to report and display their account data, but not every user in your Pipedrive account needs equal access to these reports. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">You can control how your users interact with Insights and the data they can see using <strong>visibility groups</strong> and <strong>permission sets</strong>. <br></p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Insights visibility<a name="insights-visibility"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Pipedrive’s visibility can be configured by going to <strong>Manage users &gt; <a href="https://app.pipedrive.com/settings/visibility-groups" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Visibility groups</a></strong> and can be broken down into five categories: </p>
<ul><li>Leads</li><li>Deals</li><li>People</li><li>Organizations</li><li>Products</li></ul>

<p style="text-align: justify">Currently, there are no visibility groups for viewing items in Insights, since when you set a user’s visibility for any item (leads, deals, people, organizations, products), that rule applies to their Insights as well. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">For example, if a user has ”owner only“ visibility for deals, they’ll only be able to see Insights data related to deals they own. They’ll still be able to see the charts and collective data, just not the <strong>specific</strong> items they <strong>don’t</strong> own. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Users that have deals admin access will have full visibility of all deals and leads regardless of the visibility group setting. In addition, users with global admin access will have full visibility of all person, organization, and product data regardless of the visibility group option.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Insights permissions<a name="insights-permissions"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">You can adjust the permissions for <strong>global regular users</strong> by going to <strong>Manage users &gt; <a href="https://app.pipedrive.com/settings/permissions" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Permission sets</a> &gt; Global features permission sets</strong>.</p>
