<h2 style="text-align: justify">The deal detail view<a name="the-deal-detail-view"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Clicking on a deal opens its detail view, where you can see any linked contacts, products, <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/projects-by-pipedrive" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">projects</a> or activities. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">You can also see <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/recurring-revenue-feature" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recurring revenue</a> information, <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/sales-documents-beta" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">documents</a>, files and <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/email-sync" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">emails</a> exchanged with the linked contact. </p>

Any changes made to a linked item are also reflected in the deal.</li><li>Activities and products can both be linked to a deal.</li>
<li>Deals track all events and movements that take place throughout your sales process.</li>

<p>There are two methods to add deals in bulk to Pipedrive and both are through <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/importing-data-into-pipedrive-with-spreadsheets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">importing</a>.<strong><br></strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><strong>If you don't have contact people or organizations added to your company account:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Import them with a spreadsheet, adding all details as possible such as contact person or organization, deal value, follow-up activities, etc.<br></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">We suggest utilizing the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en/articles/208061095-How-to-bulk-update-your-Pipedrive-data-with-a-spreadsheet" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pipedrive System ID function when importing a spreadsheet</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">To acquire a spreadsheet containing the necessary person or organization IDs, go to the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/list-view">list view</a> and use the gear icon to make the appropriate <strong>Pipedrive System ID</strong> field visible.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Once that field is visible, <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/exporting-data-from-pipedrive" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">export</a> the filter results to a spreadsheet, provide the necessary deal information and <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/importing-data-into-pipedrive-with-spreadsheets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">import</a> that spreadsheet back into your Pipedrive account.</p>

How can I edit the "Deal created" date?

<p style="text-align: justify">A deal is marked as <strong>WON</strong> when it’s closed and a sale was made, or the intended marketing goal was met. If you prematurely mark a deal as won, you may want to change the <strong>won time</strong> for that deal later on.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">When working in Pipedrive, you may need two copies of the same deal but don’t want to spend the time making a second version from scratch. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">With the duplication feature, you can save yourself time and energy and get your deal copied fast. </p>

<h2>How to duplicate a deal</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">To duplicate a deal, go to its <strong>detail view</strong>, click the “<strong>...</strong>” and select <strong>“</strong><strong>Duplicate</strong>.<strong>”</strong><br></p>

How can I duplicate a deal?

<p style="text-align: justify">To restore a deleted deal, go into the <strong>detail view</strong> of that deal and click on the “<strong>Reopen“</strong> button found toward the upper-right corner.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">This will reopen the deal in the same stage it was in when marked as “<strong>Deleted</strong>”.<br> </p>

<p style="text-align: justify">If you’d like to restore more than one deleted deal, we suggest first <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/hc/en/articles/360011053478" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">filtering</a> to find deleted deals in your Pipedrive account.</p>

The <strong>Add to pipeline</strong> button will indicate how many deals you will be able to add from the waitlist, and this number will be adjusted to the number of spaces you have available in your pipeline. </p>

<h3 style="text-align: justify">Exporting<a name="exporting"></a></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify">This feature exports all the deals in the waitlist into a single CSV file. You can then import and add them to your account when free space has been made. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify">If the deal cap is reached, the import will fail either completely or partially. <div class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note: </strong>If you reach your open deals limit while importing, the extra deals will be added to your <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/importing-errors-and-skip-files" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">skip file</a> with a the message: <strong>"</strong><strong>Open deal limit reached. Couldn't add the deal".</strong></div>

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Deals from automations<a name="deals-from-automations"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">When you’re at your open deal limit, any <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/workflow-automation" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">workflow automation</a> set up to create a new open deal or convert a lead to an open deal will fail at that step.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">In both cases, a new deal won’t be created, and, in the latter, the lead will remain unconverted in your <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/leads-inbox" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">leads<strong> </strong>inbox</a>. Instead, the new deal that was not created will be sent to your <strong>deals waitlist</strong>. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">If you have an automation set up to convert a closed deal to an open deal, that automation will also fail at that step, but no deal will be sent to your <strong>deals waitlist </strong>as the automation was updating an old deal and not creating a new one.</p>
<div class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note:</strong> If you’re at your deals limit, automated activities, emails, notes and other items that are linked to the creation of a new deal by the workflow automation won’t be triggered and the deal will be sent to the waitlist. For example, you have an automation set to create a deal and an activity when creating a contact person. If you’re at your deals limit, the deal will be sent to the waitlist and the activity will not be created. </div>

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Deals from LeadBooster <a name="deals-from-lead-booster"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">When you are at your open deal limit, any LeadBooster <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/chatbot" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chatbot</a> or <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/web-forms" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Web Form</a> set up to create a new open deal will fail. However, a new contact will still be created with an attached note of the Chatbot conversation or Web Form submission.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">If the person or organization interacting with your Chatbot or Web Form was already in your contacts, that existing contact would be updated with a note. In both cases, the new deal that was not created will instead be sent to your <strong>deals waitlist</strong>.<br></p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Deals from the mobile app<a name="deals-from-the-mobile-app"></a></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">The deals waitlist is currently available only on the web app; however, when you exceed the open deals limit, you won’t be able to add any new deals via the mobile app.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">If that happens, you’ll see an alert about the exceeded open deals limit.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">If you’re adding deals while Pipedrive is offline, those deals will be saved in the mobile deal list and synced to Pipedrive web when you are online.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">If the usage limit has been reached, the new deals added on the mobile app while offline will fail to sync when going online and will be added after you have freed up space.<br></p>
<div class="support-note success primary"><strong>Note</strong>: If you delete the mobile app while there are unsynced deals and then re-install the app, the deals that were unsynced at the time the app was deleted will be lost and cannot be recovered.</div>

<p style="text-align: justify">You can use <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/projects-by-pipedrive" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Projects</a> to reflect these processes, such as shipping a product after a sale is completed or following up with clients regarding repeat sales opportunities. With <strong>Projects, </strong>you no longer need to duplicate your deals or create different pipelines. <br></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">When organizing your Pipedrive data, you may find ongoing initiatives that don't fit into the deal or lead categories. These might include long-term efforts with multiple activities and phases, such as planning a presentation before or during your sales processes or monitoring post-sales actions like shipping.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">In Pipedrive, <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/projects-by-pipedrive" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Projects</a> is the perfect tool to address those needs.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Deals represent sales or other ongoing transactions within your Pipedrive account. The relationship between deals and projects is similar to that of deals and contacts. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify">A deal can be linked to a project and vice-versa. However, what makes the projects and deals unique is that you can link as many deals as you want to a Project and vice-versa: </p>
