How can I set up the Email Sync?

Note: The Email Sync feature is one of the many useful features of Pipedrive’s Gold plan. To learn how to switch plans, click here.

  • Go to Settings > Personal > Email integration.
  • Click the Connect your account button.
  • You will be directed to a new webpage, to provide the login credentials of the account you wish to sync to Pipedrive. 
    If you are asked to provide your IMAP and SMTP port information, we suggest learning more here.

  • Once connected, you will be asked to specify which emails should be synced to Pipedrive.
    • Sync emails with:
      • 'All emails will be synced with Pipedrive'
        Every email in the account — both incoming and sent — will be synced to Pipedrive.
      • 'Only emails with certain labels will be synced with Pipedrive'
        When chosen, this option will then let you choose from the labels in your synced email address, and choose which to sync to your Pipedrive account. 
    • Sync starting from:
      • The timeframe chosen will indicate the starting point of when emails should by synced into Pipedrive. If 'Now' is chosen, no historical emails will be synced, but any emails going forward will be synced. 

Note: These options are only available when the Email Sync is first initialized — so choose carefully!


  • Click Start syncing to initialize the syncing process.

If you find that there is an email you would like to have in Pipedrive from before your chosen start date of your sync, we suggest either replying to the email using the Smart Email BCC address or forwarding it to the Smart Email BCC address. These actions will allow Pipedrive to register that older email, and bring it into the Mail tab of your Pipedrive account.

Note: Emails will begin syncing into your account immediately, but may take some time to finish, depending on the expected volume.
