 If your workday consists of using Pipedrive on a computer but making phone calls to customers from a mobile device, an efficient way to quickly start phone calls is extremely important. The Web to mobile calling allows you to start a call on your mobile device directly from your Pipedrive web app, with just a few clicks.
The calls you make will be charged on your usual phone bill.

<a name="before-you-call"></a>Before you call </h2>
Before you call there are a few steps to configure:

<li>To use the Web-to-mobile calling feature, you will first have to make sure you have the mobile app installed and updated to the latest version. To do this, go to the <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pipedrive/id921456160" target="_blank">Apple App store</a> or <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pipedrive" target="_blank">Google Play store</a> from your mobile device and check to see that the Pipedrive app is downloaded and up to date.</li>
<li>You will also need to make sure mobile notifications is enabled on your device. <a name="accessing-the-web-to-mobile-feature"></a>Accessing the web-to-mobile feature</h2>
To initiate calling in your Pipedrive account, you can click on any phone number saved under a contact in the <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/en/article/list-view" target="_blank" data-type="zendeskArticle" data-language="en" data-zendesk-id="360000146149">List view</a> or <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/en/article/detail-view" target="_blank" data-type="zendeskArticle" data-language="en" data-zendesk-id="360000106249">Detail view.</a> You will see a window appear that will allow you to configure the settings of your call. 
Make sure you have the Phone tab selected and click on Start the call from Pipedrive mobile app before clicking on Start call.

Once you initiate the call, you will receive a notification from the Pipedrive mobile app on your mobile device telling you that the call has been initiated from your web-app. Once you click on the notification, you will see the option to continue the call on your mobile device. 
Below is the full flow for your web-app and mobile device:

Once call is completed, you will be automatically prompted in the web-app to write any notes, schedule a follow up call if needed, and log it as an activity.

<a name="why-can-t-i-make-calls"></a>Why can't I make calls? </h2>
There could be a number of reasons why you see an error message when trying to make a call.

You can only use this feature if you have the Pipedrive <a href="https://www.pipedrive.com/en/features/mobile-crm" target="_blank">mobile app</a> installed and up to date. 
Update to latest version of app

<h2><a name="calling-from-the-i-os-app"></a>Calling from the iOS app </h2>
Calling a contact person from the Pipedrive mobile app couldn't be easier. When you have a deal or contact person's page open, just click on the green phone icon next to the listed number.

 If you want the call logged as an activity under your deals or contacts, you will first have to go to More &gt; Preferences &gt; Call logging and enable the feature.

 Once you turn this on, the mobile app will then automatically prompt you to log phone calls as activities once the phone call is over. In the Call Summary view of the prompted activity, you can fill in the activity details and notes, as well as schedule follow up activities for that contact.
<div class="support-note success primary">Note: iOS system limitations will currently only log outgoing calls that you make from inside the Pipedrive mobile app. This means that Pipedrive won’t prompt you to log incoming calls or any outgoing calls made from outside of the app. </div>

<div class="support-note success primary"> Note: Call logging also only works with the phone number listed under the default phone number field of the person contact, meaning calls from numbers listed under notes or custom fields won’t be logged. </div>
Pipedrive users who use WhatsApp can also configure the Pipedrive mobile app to make phone calls through the WhatsApp application. To enable this, go to More &gt; Preferences &gt; Call Integrations and enable the WhatsApp option found there. The option to enable WhatsApp will only appear if WhatsApp is installed on the mobile device in question.  
Caller ID in the iOS app
The Caller ID feature on iOS devices will show the caller and linked organization name as long as the number exists in Pipedrive under an existing contact person. It’s important to keep in mind that Caller ID on iOS devices will only work for numbers with country codes. iOS platform restrictions only give the ability to show the Pipedrive contact name on an incoming call.

 If you want to make phone calls to your contacts in the Android app, you can go to the deal or contact’s detail page, and simply hit the phone icon.

The Android app can log both incoming and outgoing calls. To enable the call logging feature in the app, go to “…” &gt; Preferences and enable the log calls options accordingly.

Caller ID in the Android app
With the Caller ID feature on Android, you will be able to see the caller name, company, and deal information on your screen as long as the number exists in Pipedrive as an existing contact person. Any missed calls from existing contacts will leave a Missed Call Notification, with the options to “call back” or “add activity”, to schedule a call for a future date.

To make calls from Pipedrive on your Android device, you will first have to enable calling with the Pipedrive app. To do this, go to your device's Settings &gt; Apps &gt; Pipedrive &gt; Permissions &gt; Telephone, and select Allow.

How can I enable calling in the Android app?

Calling with the Mobile App

Many people who use Pipedrive prefer to do their work in our <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/what-features-do-the-mobile-apps-have" target="_blank">Mobile App</a>, and now there will be more to use it for.
With <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/insights-feature" target="_blank">Insights</a> for Mobile, you can now see all of the reports and dashboards created in your web app, right in your mobile device.

<h2>Where is the feature located?<a name="where-is-the-feature-located"></a></h2>
Once you have logged into your mobile app account, navigate to the side menu and click on the Insights tab:

<h2 style="text-align: justify">What can the feature be used for?<a name="what-can-the-feature-be-used-for"></a></h2>
Insights web view will be embedded into the Pipedrive Mobile app, meaning you will see exactly the same reports and dashboards as you see in the web app view.
So if you have a Dashboard that is empty in the web app, for example, it will also be empty in the mobile app.

However, Insights reports cannot be edited or changed within the mobile app. If you would like a report or dashboard to appear differently in the mobile app, you will need to do that editing within the web app. 
Additionally, all reports and dashboards will be displayed at the same size and will be shown one under another in the same order as they appear in the web app:

<h2 style="text-align: justify">Viewing your data in Mobile Insights<a name="viewing-your-data-in-mobile-insights"></a></h2>
If the report you are viewing on mobile and the field values are not visible in the legend, you can expand the legend to see all of the values by tapping on the +n button (the "n" in this case representing the number beside the plus sign):

You can also click on any column in a report to view the specific details within it:

Switch between report pages
Since some reports are larger than the available mobile window, you can switch between report pages by tapping on the arrows or swiping on the chart area:

Filter dashboard by user or date
You can also apply date and/or user filters to a dashboard by tapping on a date/user icon (on the top right corner) and selecting a needed option:

You can also restore the original state of filters by choosing the No filters option under each filter:

Then all blue badges connected to the chosen filter will disappear, and the reports will be shown without any data being filtered. 
Switch between dashboards
You can switch between different dashboards by clicking on the dropdown menu (where the name of the currently selected Dashboard is shown) and choosing a different dashboard:

<div class="support-note success primary">Note: If you switch the dashboard, the chosen dashboard will be shown when you comes back (meaning it will not revert to the default dashboard every time you log out.) </div>
All dashboards that appear in the web app are shown in the list (including the ones that have been shared) and the order of the Dashboards will be the same as it is in the web app. The first Dashboard listed will always appear first by default. 
Dashboards are organized by sections the same way as in the web app and can be collapsed or expanded by tapping on the section. 
Search for a specific report or dashboard
You can also search for a specific report and/or dashboard by tapping on the search icon and typing the keyword:

If the report or dashboard's title contains the keyword, then it appears in the search results list. And once you select a dashboard or report from your search, the view changes accordingly, and the chosen item opens.
If you select a report, then the dashboard which contains this report opens and it is automatically scrolled down to the selected report.
Once you click the Close (X) button then the search closes and you will be navigated back to the previous dashboard view.
Previously searched keywords are saved so you can re-use them later:

In the case of a person or deal, you will see the location listed under the default address field of the organization that is linked to that deal or person.</div>
 Using the Mobile app's Nearby Feature, you will be able to see the addresses of your contacts that are nearby on a map. This can come in handy if you want to add a personal touch to your sales journey by stopping by when you are in the area, either for a planned meeting or as a surprise.

To access the Nearby Feature on your iOS device, go to your Pipedrive mobile app’s home screen and click More &gt; Nearby. Here you will see a map with all of the addresses that are near your current location. If it is the first time using the Nearby feature, you will be asked to allow Pipedrive access to your current location.

You can filter the locations that you see by switching between deals, organizations, or people by selecting from the bar at the top. 
If you want to filter the results even further on the map, you can click on the filter icon in the top right corner and apply any custom or default filters accordingly. Here you can filter for your <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/article/what-types-of-custom-fields-are-there" target="_blank">address-type custom fields</a> as well, although you can only filter for one address field at a time:

After you find the address you are looking for, you can choose to view details related to that deal or contact, as well as choose to open up the address in your navigation app, to be on your way.

<h2 style="text-align: justify">The Nearby Feature in the Android app: <a name="the-nearby-feature-in-the-android-app"></a></h2>
To access the Nearby Feature, go to your app’s home screen, and hit “…” &gt; Nearby. Here you will see a map including all of the addresses that are nearby your current location. You will have to allow Pipedrive to access the device’s location if it’s your first time enabling this feature.

From there you can filter your locations by switching between the deal icon, organization icon, and people icon in the top right corner of the screen.
If you want to further filter the results on the map, you can click on the filter icon in the top right corner under the geo-locator icon and apply any custom or default filters accordingly.
After you find the address you are looking for, you can choose to view details related to that deal or contact, as well as choose to open up the address in your navigation app to be on your way.

The Nearby Feature

Handwriting notes during your workday is still widespread. To save you time typing up your notes afterward, Pipedrive has a Note Scanner, which allows you to transcribe handwritten or typed text directly into the app, so all you need to do is edit what you would like to add to your Pipedrive deal or contact.
How it works
When you open the app, go to the deal or contact you would like to add the note to. At the bottom of the note, click on the scanning option. You can then focus your camera on your note and click to take a picture. Click OK if the image is clear, and it will be scanned as a note.

Make any edits or spelling changes to your note that you want, and it will be saved to your deal or contact.

The mobile app’s Calendar View will allow you to see all the activities scheduled for that day on the go. With this, you can see what time your day starts, finishes, and you can prevent yourself from double-booking activities!

To view all of your upcoming activities on a calendar within the Pipedrive mobile app, simply click the Activities icon from the bottom of the app's home screen, then click the Calendar tab at the top of the screen. You will also have the option to click on other days in the calendar to see activities scheduled in the past or in the future.

 To filter for the activity type or activity assignee, you can tap the filter icon in the top left corner and apply those filters accordingly. To add a new activity, you can click on the + icon in the top right corner. Here you can easily schedule the activity and link it to any relevant deals, people, and organizations.

</h2>
To view all of your upcoming activities on a calendar within the Android mobile app, simply click the Calendar icon from the bottom of the app's home screen, then click on the Calendar icon again in the top right corner of the screen next to the filter icon. You can easily upload existing or new photos to deals or contacts on the Pipedrive mobile app when you're on the go. This is extremely useful if you want to take a quick photo of your meeting notes to attach to any relevant contacts or deals, or add snapshot of a contact's business card after meeting them at the latest sales convention.

With the Audio Notes feature in the Pipedrive mobile app, you can easily take and attach audio recordings as well as use the transcription feature to automatically turn any voice memos directly into a text-type note.

What features do the Mobile Apps have?

By enabling push notifications in the Mobile app, you can stay up to date on the latest progress of your deals, people, and organizations in live time. 
You will first have to enable mobile notifications for Pipedrive in your mobile device. You can learn how to do this in your iOS or Android device in <a href="https://support.pipedrive.com/en/article/enabling-mobile-notifications" target="_blank" data-type="zendeskArticle" data-language="en" data-zendesk-id="360009510797">this article</a>.

What will I be notified on?

Offline mode is simply when your phone does not have internet access. Unlike on the Pipedrive desktop web-app where you need to be online to work, you will be able to work on the mobile apps even if you do not have an internet connection. This is extremely useful for people working on the move. Whether you're in the sky without internet access and still want to take down some notes before your next meeting, or on the train on the way to the office, you will always be able to make changes directly in the mobile app.
How does it work?
It’s simple. When you no longer have an internet connection, you will still be able to move deals along your pipeline, add notes, activities, and anything you would normally do within the Pipedrive mobile app. When your phone regains an internet connection, Pipedrive will then sync the new or updated data from your mobile app to your web-app automatically.

Do the mobile apps work offline?

Android: Beta testing

Pipedrive syncs data between the Pipedrive mobile app and Pipedrive web-app regularly, but if you are in a hurry or you have just updated something important, you can manually sync your data from your mobile app.
 There are two ways to manually sync your data from the mobile app.
<ul>
<li>The first way is by dragging your finger down the screen in any view in the mobile app. If the sync is successfully activated, a spinning circle will appear briefly at the top before loading the new data. </li>
<li>
The second way to manually sync your mobile and web data would be to click on either More &gt; Synchronize Data in the iOS app or "..." &gt; Synchronize Data in the Android app. In this section, you will also be able to see when the data was last synced with the web-app.

Manually syncing data in the Mobile App

When working in the mobile app, you may run into some technical issues that prevent you from having a seamless Pipedrive experience. We’ve provided a few troubleshooting tips in this article that you can test out if you run into any loading or syncing issues while using the mobile app. Troubleshooting iOS devices

Uninstalling and Re-installing the App. This will effectively clear any cache issues in your mobile app that could be causing problems as well as update the app to the latest version. To do this, you can go to the home screen of your iOS device, hold down the Pipedrive app until the X shows up in the top left corner of the app icon, and click on the X to uninstall the app. To re-install the app, you can go to the App Store &gt; Pipedrive &gt; Get.

Uninstalling and Re-installing the App. To do this, you can go to the home screen of your Android device, hold down the Pipedrive app until the option to uninstall shows up, and click to uninstall the app. To re-install the app you can go to the Play Store &gt; Pipedrive &gt; Install.
